This privately owned ancient wood between Frinton and Walton is in two parts either side of Central Avenue. It is well known for its bluebells which carpet much of the site. It also hosts a large rookery and woodland birds such as woodpeckers.

Visiting

On Walton Road (B1336) roughly mid-way between Frinton and Walton.

Frinton side accessible at all times. Walton side has an educational nature trail which is accessible by appointment only: call 01255 674735.
